How we judge a power station
There is no lab here. No rig, no staff running load tests. We read the manufacturer’s spec sheets, we read the independent bench data published by people who do own the equipment, and we read hundreds of verified owner reviews — and when those three sources disagree, we print the disagreement instead of hiding it. Where a number isn’t published anywhere, we write UNKNOWN rather than estimate it. Every score on this site carries the evidence it came from. Read our full review process.

What the brands don’t put above the fold

Rated ≠ Real

A 100W solar panel delivers about 48WIndependently measured across every major brand; the range is 30–51% of the rating. Jackery, Anker and Bluetti each ship an FAQ titled “Why can’t the solar panel reach its rated power?” — none of them says it on the product page.

Not free power

X-Boost, SurgePad and Power Lifting reduce voltageThey are not bonus wattage. Independent measurement shows the output voltage dropping — which is a problem for sensitive electronics. The difference is rarely shown side by side on product pages.

The buried spec

Idle draw decides whether it’s still charged when you need itThe best units sip under 10W doing nothing. The worst pull 50–70W and flatten themselves in about two days. Standby consumption is rarely published, yet it decides how long a unit holds its charge.
